The whole clan gathered in Rosendale for the first Shafer reunion in twenty years. It was a great time, with lots of food, familiar faces, food, a few beers, food, family stories and food. It was a lot of fun and it wasn't even necessary to call the authorities to break it up.

The day before the "official" reunion, some of us visited a dairy farm for a close encounter of the bovine kind. It was a great opportunity to get up close and personal with milkshakes on the hoof.
