My Father-In-Law, Chet, is a Veteran of WWII. He was a Crew Chief on a C-47 in the 440th Troop Carrier Group of the Ninth Air Force.
A reunion of the Troop Carrier Community was held in Detroit in November of 2010. These are some photos from that weekend.
The Group visited the Henry Ford Museum and some of the aircraft of the Yankee Air Museum. A highlight was the Yankee Air Force C-47 which was open to the group.
